Located on a street with no visual continuity, the Coral Street Residences seek to distill visual cacophony into an intentional composition. The various punctures and carvings in the street wall acknowledge the variegated datum heights along the street. The project combines two standard infill lots into one and provides three two-bedroom, two bath apartments. Each unit connects to exterior space. On the ground floor, occupants enjoy living space that addresses the ample rear yard. The second floor unit engages the street with a deep balcony. The third floor unit provides occupants with direct access to a rooftop terrace. The building envelope utilizes a cement board rainscreen, advanced framing techniques, continuous insulation, and triple-pane windows for enhanced thermal performance.
